A Hard life of an artist
I studied Plastic Art at Universidad de Chile and I´m going
to speak about my academic experience.
My first motivation to choose this college career was to
improve myself as a drafstman and I can say that it was completely satisfaying
the world I found in that school about study and practice of drawing.
Sadly I couldn´t finish my study programme. My classmates
and I were very affected by two unascapable events: the social outbreak and the
pandemic.
Most of half of my subjects were done online, having a very few
hours at the workshop, resulting in knowledge gaps in proces that I should
dominate according to the speciality I studied.
When I graduate, I Will do it with mention in print maker,
however, my work at this subjetc is basic and into knowledge stage yet. It
doesn´t accomplish my expectations about the technical domains that a
profesional artista should have. And in that way I feel disapointed of the school
of arts and the university, because their compromiso to contribute to the
improvement of the students affected by the pandemic has been low.
I am only going to mention in turns to the infrastructure
that we are a por school and there are basic needs that are not covered.
The feeling at the end of studies is like being alone in
front of te world, at least you had been teacher’s helper maybe.
I think there is so much that can be improved
